I loved that book when I was a kid! I looked on imdb!.com and there is no mention of it, which pretty much means it doesn't exist!. I did a little bit of googling and found this article http://www!.nytimes!.com/2004/04/08/movies!.!.!.
the article is from 2004 and it says that "deenie" is being developed into a feature film!.!.!. but seems like those plans probably fell through!. There's no way they've taken 4 years to make the movie - the actors would be way to old for their adolescent parts!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Deenie, is being made into a movie!.
It was announced by Disney back in March, although there is no release date yet, I don't think a cast has even been chosen yet!.
Disney are also looking to making a number of other Blume books into movies also!.
