Who do you contact to try and encourage a DVD release?!

Question: Who do you contact to try and encourage a DVD release!?
It's hard to find contacts for old movies!. I'm trying to figure out how to get "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" on DVD (it's only been released on VHS, so any DVD copies out there are bootlegs!.) It's a beautiful old Black and White that I have watched on Turner Classic Movies several times, but I get to yearning for it!.

Does anyone know how to find out who owns the movie and how to convince them that a DVD release is long overdue!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

All my searching hasn't turned up so much as the production company!. It's possible that the original company no longer exists!. If you can find it, they would be the people to contact!. There's also the estate of director Elia Kazan, but I can't imagine where you would get their number!.

Failing all of that, I'd get in touch with the people at Turner Classic Movies!. They've got some influence on which movies get released to DVD!. If nothing else, if you're lucky, they may let you know who to get in touch with!.

It may help to start an online petition!. You can do this at http://www!.petitionspot!.com!. Spread the word to all your friends in classic movie circles and get them to sign!. The best way to convince a company to re-release an old movie is to convince them that there's an audience!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
