Horror or comedy is about it!.

how about a insomniac detective that has not slept for a year!. receives clues to a cases hes working on!. he cant comprehend any of the clues although the clues seem entirely plausible to everybody else!. he embarks on an affair with a beautiful woman!. which helps him sleep for the first time!. then solves the case with sublime detective work because hes 'awake'!.
if you can fit this in 6-7 minutes of film, then that's impressive!.
