The possible remake was announced in October 2006 - haven't been able to find any newer articles about this!. So who knows if it's even happening - there's no listing for the remake on imdb!.com -
It doesn't seem to be listed on Gilliam's upcoming schedule - don't really see how it would be any good without him!.
Handmade Films, the company that announced the remake, is working on Planet 51, Eloise in Paris, and The Mason's Hammer!. No news about Time Bandits remake on their web-site!.
I loved "Time Bandits" as a kid - it combined my love of Monty Python with my fascination with time-travel movies!. The movie was so special and unique, I don't really think a remake would be a good idea, but I'd love to see a sequel!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you love a movie, why would you want to see it remade!? Some movies should just be left alone!. I love Monty Pythons "The Meaning of Life"!. Do I think they should remake it!? Of course not, that would ruin it!. They are filming a remake of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"!. Are you kidding me!? You take a movie that has a huge following because of the way the film was made, then you think you can improve upon it!? Or maybe some people don't care about improving, just cashing in on somebodys previous success!.

It's a great movie, I remember loving it when I was a kid and both my kids also enjoyed it!. It has not aged all that badly at all and is very entertaining and funny!.
I'm not sure about a remake, if Terry Gilliam is directing it, I'm sure it will be good!. I just don't know why he would make the same movie twice though!. Maybe a sequel!? Www@Enter-QA@Com

I remember it!. I liked it!. The scene where the bad guy turned into an evil carousel/carnival ride creeped me out!. I bet a remake would be good what with all the new technology in special effects and such!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
