Beyonce playing Etta James in a Movie?!

IBeyonce's voice is not as soul full as Etta's!. Beyonce's voice is commercialized in order to appeal to a diverse audience (hint: that's why she was picked for the movie---to make money)!. Singers from Etta's era had a distinct passion in their voices!. Their voices were naturally good because they did not have the fancy editing programs they have now!.

It was a slap in the face to the plus size community to have a smaller sized woman play Etta!. There are so many wonderful singers/actresses they could have chosen to better fit the role (Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Price, Christe Michelle)!.

I don't like it!. There are so many other gifted and talented actresses and soulful singers who would have done this role some justice (Queen Latifah, Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson)!. But the producers are banking on Beyonce because she is mega star in the musical world!. Beyonce is not a good actress, I don't care how many trainers she has worked with!. She needs to stick to performing on stage and leave the acting to trained and skilled actresses!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I really believe she will do well because she seems to like Etta's singing, and if you like what you are doing that always helps!. Etta however brought something to music that I have yet to see by any other person!. The lady was great!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
