What are the prerequisites to use a light saber in the Star Wars Universe?!
Question: What are the prerequisites to use a light saber in the Star Wars Universe!?
I guess what i am asking is can anyone use one!? I know Han did in ESB but he's got all kinds of Force in him in my opinion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Technically anyone can use one (ie!. General Grevious not a Jedi/Sith but just killed them and stole their weapons)!. But to get one legitimately you need to be a Jedi or Sith apprentice and build it!. Sometimes (ie!. Luke) they can be bestowed upon an individual but as a good rule of thumb is that if someone is using a lightsaber they are one of three things; Jedi, Sith, or Thief/Murder!. That should help shed some light on your question i think!. The way a lightsaber is built is through the force so you really need to be a force user to OWN a lightsaber but to use one, anyone can if they can get their hands on it!. One last thing, Jedi tend to use naturally occuring crystals to focus their lightsaber while the Sith use synth crystals to create theirs, hence the red color and more focused beam!.

Anyone can use one but they can't deflect lasers with them unless they can use the force!. Who has the reflexes to deflect a laser!? Without the force ability to see things before they happen, you had better use a force field instead of a light saber to defend lasers!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
to my knowledge a lightsaber is just a tool!. so anybody can use one!.
