Question: When reading a screenplay, what does it mean, when next to characters name is written (O/S)!?
Example: JENNIFER (O/S)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Off Screen!.
To give an example!. If there are two characters in a scene!. Both of them are talking in the kitchen!. Jennifer walks out of the kitchen and the camera stays with the other character, so we do not see Jennifer!. Jennifer then says something to the other character, and that would be OS!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

This either means Off screen if for film, or off stage, if in theater!. This most likely means you are shouting from another room or on the sidestage to make it seem as if you are in another room to make it so the character(s) on stage can react to you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think it's "Off Screen"!? When the character's dialogue doesn't involve the character to be seen by the audience!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

it stands for off screen!. which means that you hear the character speaking but they don't appear on camera!. ie you just hear their voice!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think that means either On Stage or Off Stage but I'm not positive which it refers to!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
