What in the world can possibly explain the appeal of the "High School Music!
Question: What in the world can possibly explain the appeal of the "High School Musical" movies!?
I have recently made a point of watching these movies all the way through in order to try to understand why there has been so much promotion around them!. The conclusion: the dancing was relatively good, the acting was beyond terrible, the singing was even worse than the acting, and the songs themselves were absolutely atrocious! (Who wrote that agonizing stuff anyway!?!?)
The idea was a good one (something along the lines of "Riverdance," "Lord of the Dance," or "Celtic Tiger"--all of which were absolutely awesome), but the final HSM movies were just so poorly produced that there is absolutely nothing to recommend them!. What's the point of making a "musical" if the singing and the songs are totally unlistenable!?
It's hard to imagine that anyone (except perhaps younger teenagers) would actually be able to sit through these unbelievably awful productions!. Certainly any mature person with even an iota of musical taste would have difficulty doing so!.
So just what is the justification for the existence of these shows and for all the hype we keep hearing in relation to them!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I was on the computer a few days ago and my 7 year old niece who LOVES HMS and Miley/Hannah was watching HMS 2; and I turned around and I started watching it!.!.!.!. And oh my gosh, the acting was TERRIBLE! Especially Zac's and Vanessa's! They sounded so fake; no REAL emotion at all! It literally made me want to laugh out loud that's how bad it was!.

Because its pretty basic and stripped down!. Its like a caricature of what high school is really like!.
I know when I started high school, there was no singing or dancing, unless of course we were at a school dance or performing skits for homecoming!. But other than that, we didn't even have a big drama club!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i fee l vomit whenever i see the tv trailers to that movie!. sure it's meant for the little ones, but it is also a bad influence!!!!!! Vanessa is hella (thats right i said hella) hoochie, theres the typical white stupid bi!ch played by ashley !. but besides that, I've heard little girls (friends of my little cousins) say "why cant i look like vanessa!"
