Why was the movie King Kong so popular?!

Question: Why was the movie King Kong so popular!?
This movie proves to be racist because it presents Black people as savages, and in the original version Black women were fed to Kong to appease him while he was amazed by a White woman, and it is obvious that Kong refers to the Congo in Africa!. Not to mention that he himself seems to be a Black man White America is trying to "civilize!." He is supposed to represent the monstrosity White America associates Black males with, even in his conflict with Godzilla, who is supposed to represent Vietnam or some other Asian country!. Apparently White America wants to put our so-called monstrosity to use to fight wars for them!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was one of the 1st horror movies!. I never heard that Kong represented a black man !. This is the first I've heard that!.

But as usual, whitey is the one that stirred up trouble, just like Mccain is doing Www@Enter-QA@Com

!?!?!?

1!. Yes!. Racism is an underlying theme in King Kong!. However, the moral of the story, so to speak, is not necessarily a racist one!. The story can be interpreted as the "white man's" fear of interracial marriage!. However, the hero of King Kong is King Kong!. In the end, he is who we feel most sympathetic to!. So in a way, it's trying to open people minds to the idea!. Not close them!. King Kong was made in 1933, so racism was a rampant part of the culture, but not every movie put out then can be interpreted directly as racist!. Many movies like this one, resorted to using subversive messages, to broaden people views on race relations!.

2!. King Kong vs Godzilla was made by Japan!. Any American analogy you apply to it would be false!.

Shut up man!. There are hundreds of thousands of movies where white people are the enemy, but you don't see us whining about it!. Sure we were wrong 150 years ago, but stop trying to pull the "My ancestors were enslaved by the white man so therefore I hate the white man!." My people (Jews) were enslaved for THOUSANDS of years in Egypt, but to this day they are Israel's allies and one of their main trade sources!. also, we have publicly forgiven the German nation for the Holocaust!. Now stop complaining and just appreciate the movie!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I disagree, All that suggests is that white women are more like apes, and therefore he was attracted to her!. LOL! It could be interpreted both ways!. I don't think the writers meant any offense!. I think that if the King Kong story is to be interpreted at all it should be interpreted that even the most powerful forces (King Kong) can ultimately be tamed by the tenderness of a woman!. My opinion!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

When you are a hammer every problem looks like a nail!.

I think the movie was so popular because men see themselves in Kong!. He is strong, not articulate, and very out of place in a world that was racing by!. We want to have love, but we identify with the fear of being captured and destroyed by it!. In the end we see the tragic end to our own selves in the death of Kong!. We want him to live, but see that beauty is hostage to his !.!.!. our !.!.!. self!.

Its a very primal movie!. It appeals to us, not because we see something else, but like all hammers, we see the nail, except that is truly a nail - and it calls to us more strongly than to fake nails!. We see ourselves in it, and are both captivated, and horrified!. We both want the monster to live, and to die at the end!.
