Is Jigsaw John (Tobin Bell) alive!? When Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) enters the elevator, there is John and he gives Hoffman a shot to knock him out!. Now held hostage, John tells him that the press is accusing him of the death of Seth (Joris Jarsky) when it was Hoffman who killed him!. Seth is the man at the start of the movie killed by the pendulum!.

Jigsaw John is alive he is actually Ronald McDonald in the movie!. If you remember the part when they are at McDonalds and the one guy orders a cheeseburger and Ronald brings it over to him but he notices that he has small feet instead of the big clown feet!. He then quickly changed his shoes to the big clown ones so nobody would get suspicious!. Then after in the forest scene Jigsaw John was not wearing the clown suit but he had a "saw" and was cutting down the trees but forgot to take off the clown nose!. The pendulum trap is not really a trap either Ronald McDonald just swung the pendulum back and forth to confuse people!.

The scene in the elevator and the pendulum scene were both flashbacks!. Saw V is basically establishing that Hoffman has been helping Jigsaw all along!.
All the Saw movies are full of flashbacks and the timeline of the actual murders/redemptions is twisted and hard to follow!.
