Yeah, she died!.!.!.!. you never see her die but the summer after her and Landon get married she died!.!.!.
that was why, at the end of the movie, Landon talks about how Jaime's love is like the Wind, you can't see it, but you can feel it!.!.!.

He says "we had a perfect summer together, with more love than most pepole know in a lifetime!. Then she went!.!. with her undying faith!."
"Went" definitely means "died" as we all knew she had a terminal disease!.
Apparently they got married, and she lived through the summer (a few months) then died!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
