From what I understand is the director had an experience in his childhood where his neighborhood was getting robbed by people coming to the door and asking if so and so was home just to see if anyone answered so they knew what houses to rob (remember the end of the movie "Why us!?" "Because you were home!.!.!.") and the acts of torture themselves I heard were based on the Manson murders!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
