Gah! Requiem for a Dream is my 4th favorite movie of all time! And definitely the highlight of Jared Leto's career!.
It's also, hands down, the single most depressing, make-you-feel-like-sh!t movie I've ever seen!. If they'd show this movie to 9th graders, I guarantee that the rate of drug use would go on the decline!.
The last scene is probably the most powerful (along with the last scene of "American History X") I've ever seen--what an amazing ending to an amazing movie!.!.!. All of them curled up in the fetal position!.!.!.
And that score!.!.!. "Lux Aeterna" is my absolute favorite orchestrated piece!. Clint Mansell is nothing short of -amazing-!.
***There's only one!.!.!.two scenes that are too bad to be shown in school, in my opinion!. That's Jennifer Connelly standing in front of the mirror, and the ***-to-*** scene!. But that can easily be fast-forwarded!. This movie is too powerful to ignore completely because of a couple of sex scenes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Requiem by a long shot!. I agree it should be shown in the senior year!. Blah, Blah, Blah, kids these days have seen (and probably done) worse than the film shows!. It's, in a weird way, kind of educational!. And all of Darren Aronofsky's films are good!. Check out Pi and The Fountain if you haven't already!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
