Question: Is the storyline for 28 days and 28 weeks later, Dawn of the Dead and Resident Evil all basically the same!?
I was going through some DVD's to purchase online, and Resident Evil was recommended!. When I read the review it sounds exactly like 28 days later, which also sound like Dawn of the Dead!.

They have the same outlying structure, though they have some differing plot elements!. In my opinion, your best bet is to go for the Resident Evil series!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Resident Evil is based of a video game, an evil corporation, Umbrella, develops a virus the turns ppl into zombies and another than massively mutates them into horrific creatures, good movie, but not as good as the game!. the usual slow groaning zombie movie!.
28 weeks/days later is on the premise that these scientists were studying a virus called rage, testing it on monkeys, sure enough some animal rights nut lets these infected monkeys out and the virus spreads rampant!. 28 days is from the point of view of a bike messenger who was in a coma when the virus began to spread and wake up in the hospital '28 days later' and finds london abandoned except for a few survivors and the zombies, who are crazy fast and ravenous!. the next installments is 28weeks later from the outbreak, the zombies had begun to die from hunger, and a survivors' city is built in a safe zone, protected by none other than the US of A, the virus gets in, but there are two children who are immune the virus, so a soldier tries to get them out of the city before it is obliterated!.
Dawn of the Dead is freaking awesome :P, fast zombies, survivors trapped in a mall, pregnant zombie, zombified fat woman in a wheelbarrow, great directing, amazing effects!.

Yes!. Dawn of the Dead (1978 version) is the original and best!. The remake is a good action movie, but it's not as deep!. 28 Days Later is a good movie, too, but it's a bit derivative!. Resident Evil is a video game movie, but, if you can handle that, it's not all so bad!. Definitely not the best movie in the world, though!.
If you're a Danny Boyle fan, you probably should try seeing 28 Days Later, but it's not his best work!. On the other hand, Dawn of the Dead (the 1978 version) is one of my favorite movies, and it's one of George Romero's best works!.
Just a little advice, though: don't watch Dawn of the Dead (either the original or the remake) if you have a weak stomach!. There's a lot of violence, cannibalism, and gory special effects!. Stick to 28 Days Later if you're not sure!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I HATE YOU SO MUCH! They are not alike at all and each one is great in its special little way!. Resident Evil is based of a great kick *** video games series and the zombies spawn from a virus!. Dawn of the dead is a sequel movie to Island of the Dead and the zombies come from an ancient ritualistic ritual thing!. while 28 days and 28 weeks is running rage zombies that only effect britain for some unknown reason!. The best is dawn of the dead then resident evil and the 28 day movies aren't all that good!. Quarantine is a good movie also and Planet Terror Grind House Www@Enter-QA@Com
nah they're not really the same at all!. i like the resident evils the best but dawn of the dead was really good the first time i saw it!. 28 days later is amazing and 28 weeks later has awesome camera work but the story lines a little repetetive with the first one!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
28 days later is a classic british horror film!. which is slightly different from resident evil - which is good but has a less believable story line and 28 weeks later - which is more of a main stream film and not as good as 28 days later!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
