If someone is sitting on my right, then usually the left arm rest is mine!. But if someone is on my left, than I get the right!.

depends who you're sitting with!.
When I go with my family, there are 5 to 8 of us (depending on how many come), so it's whichever side everyone has an armrest on - we sit on an end usually =]
otherwise, the right-hand side!. We're all right-handed, it just makes sense to have drinks and things on that side!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
