You seem to be correct on most of your points!. I don't think older Vamps would like the modern music much like senior citizens love only the things that were popular when they were at their "peak" which I imagine is the same for vampires!.
As for falling in love with a younger girl!.!.!.well a 108 year old vampire would soon grow bored with the constant witless chatter of a teen aged girl and would soon either move on or make her a vampire too!. Which rises another point!. Vampires can not feel love! Don't forget what a vampire is, the undead! They do not have feelings like real humans!. They can feel lust but so does any animal!. Only humans can love!.!.!.not vampires!.
And no, vampires can not read minds!. If you recall from the Grand daddy of all vampires, Count Dracula, vampires could bend a weak humans mind to do their bidding but not a strong personality such a professor Van Helsing!. The mind reading and other made up crap is just that!. Brams Stroker defined the rules for what a vampire can and can not do, but these modern hacks make up vampire abilities to make their characters seem more interesting!.
