Question: Does Marley really die in the movie Marley and Me!?
My girls want to see this movie, it looks adorable and funny but in the book I bought two years ago for my daughter, Marley dies, does this happen in the movie as well!?
We have a pup who looks identical to the one in the movie, and my girls are animal lovers!. So I am concerned about if he dies in the movie!. I want it to be a happy day for them not sad!. It opens here on the 25th and we are planning on seeing it then!.

Yes, Marley is put to sleep in the movie!. It is a very, very touching scene and everyone in the theatre came out with red eyes!. It ends with Marley's death with the Grogans burying him, they don't adopt another dog like in the book!.

Marley and Me is actually a book by John Grogan!. The movie is based on the book which is a true story!.
Yes, the dog dies and in the book its very sad, I cried!. But he doesn't get hit by a car or anything like that!. Marley just dies of old age!.
If you are concerned about it, maybe read the book and decide for yourself!. It was a good book and I would recommend it!. It's really cute and funny!.
