my guess would be the film silent night deadly night [i own 1,2 and 5 !.!.!.need 3 and 4 ]
purely because the film was viewed as an anti holiday film upon its release and the idea of scenes of a man dressed as santa butchering people seemed a bit too disturbed !.!.!.!.the possibility of a child seeinbg such things may scar them for life !.!.!.!.!.it was very over blown and ridiculous !.!.!.!.!.the reason the guy went nuts was extremely valid !.!.!.and santa never directly killed anyone ,just people dressed as him did lolWww@Enter-QA@Com

Several films have had that rumor about them!. One is "You Better Watch Out" (1980), starring Brandon Maggart, which is a true cult classic!. I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to!. Many people also fussed about "Black Christmas" aka "Silent Night, Evil Night" (1974), but that played in theaters with no problems!. (That film might already have been mentioned, but it did play in many theaters!.)

Actually, I doubt that any film would be "yanked" because movie studios love publicity, including adverse publicity!. After all, there was an uproar about both "Night of the Living Dead" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre"~the originals of course!. But, nothing came of that~or 'The Last House on the Left" or any other "too horrible for the public films"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It was "Silent Night, Deadly Night" (1984) Tri-star pictures pulled the movie 6 days after its release!. An indie distributor eventually re-released it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Was it Silent Night, Deadly Night!? Although I didn't think that was supposed to premiere on Christmas Eve, and I think it actually did run for a little while!. So maybe not!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
