It's not Zac Efron, that was just a rumor (thank god!)!. Ryan Gosling was the actor who was last said to have the role, he got chosen by Courtney Love!. But nothing's came of it since!.
We don't know who's going to play him yet, but the film's supposed to be going into production this year!. I don't think anyone should play him!.
