...i mean what waz so wrong w/ the grateful dead...i mean im 14 and when i g-2 school and i say i lik the gr8ful dead and every1 starts making fun of them...and im jst wondering what waz so wrong w/ them i mean i loved they way jerry garcia's voice sounded and the gtr and jst the lyrics them selves and they're 1 of my fav. bands EVER!!!actually my 2nd fav.(w/ ac/dc,led zep, and GN'R being 1st) and i git that them and their audience used drugs... a lot but if every1 made fun of ppl/bands who used drugs then(and i'm not compairing these bands either their theyre both awesome in their special way) y dont ppl make fun of jimmy page of led zep, ozzy, and most of ac/dc...i mean i love those guys but still the gr8ful dead jst seems to git the badder rap for it so what else waz so wrong with them...???

People either love or hate the Dead, you are smart enough to like them. They did a lot of drugs and drank a lot of booze, but always put on a good show, but they did not try to produce "commercial" rock n roll. They did not see out to make more money or to sell more albums. The Grateful Dead stayed true to the music they loved to play.
But they did not rule the top 10 so many people never got to hear a lot of their songs so they do not know them. Many people put down things that they do not understand, and some dumb people think that because the Dead did not have a pile of No ! hits they were not a great band.
