Does anyone else think Eazy E isnt recognized enough?

I don't think people recognize him enough as a pioneer. I believe he paved the way for alot of great west coast rappers. I don't think he would make a top 35 lists of best emcees of all time, he might not make 50. Although his influence has been pretty effective. Look at Dre, Ice Cube, and Bone. Although Dre and Cube left he still created a buzz from having them in NWA. He started and financed the group. Bone went platinum from being affiliated with him. I think people downplay his contribution and put him into a genre of what the media labled " gangsta rap". Whatever true hip-hop heads know who and what he was about. He was a great producer and continued the legacy brought forth by the other pioneers. He has prevalent during a era in hip-hop where alot of negativity was around. I think that's why people tend to downplay his contributions.
