Definitely good taste! I don't care much for opera but this song is one of my favorites, along with some Puccini.

I've never heard Ms Callas' version, but this song features prominently in my all time favorite movie: "A Room With a View". In that score, the piece is performed by Kiri Te Kanawa. Because of its association with that film, it has become one of my favorite art songs.
