good question....both are great songs...but i think i prefer while my guitar gently weeps more than here comes the sun. i think it might have been b/c it was the first beatle's song i heard of...and it was probably the song that made me love the beatles...

While my guitar....... the solo is awesom because Eric Clapton plays it !!! That's one of the best Beatles songs !
Both are great Harrison songs... When I'm in the mood for well-constructed Pop/Rock, definitely 'Here Comes the Sun'... When I'm in the mood for some early, dirty hard rock, then obviously 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'...

I love them both, but Here Comes The Sun is surprising versatile when juxtaposed with other songs (e.g., on a mix tape or in a playlist) where as My Guitar is more likely to need a time and a place for itself to rock on.
That's the beauty of the song. We are all essentially feeling the same thing when we hear it, and yet you can play it under so many different circumstances.

I prefer "here comes the sun" bc it's much more optimistic and the melody is perfect...
