America never had a gothic era. Europe has so much history to draw from. The European bands draw from that agelessness better than American bands
I would say European because some of the best metal is european
Cradle of Filth
Iron Maiden
ect.
AMERICAN MORE BANDS
European because well....
80% of Americans believe in "a higher being"
In Europe.. not so much...
So, I think it's kind of obvious where more talent will come from in the genre.
Gothmetal is better in Europe, but and America good gothmetal music.
