Good songs to play on the guitar?!
Question: I wanna play blues. Any good songs? How do you play the blues
Answers: I wanna play blues. Any good songs? How do you play the blues
If you want to play the blues like the masters, start with the creators of the blues, BB King, Albert King, Freddie King, Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, and Ray Charles. Learn any songs by these guys and you'll be a blues scholar.
My tips for playing the blues:
Learn the 12 bar blues progression in every key.
Learn the Pentatonic scale in 5 positions.
Learn how to vibrato.
Feel the music.
Have fun!
Slow Dancing In A Burning Room By John Mayer
Man, this could take a while.
I gotta stick with the short answers.
1) Yes, there are TONS of good blues songs! Go get yourself a collection of Big Bill Broonzey and you'll have quite a catalogue.
2) Listen to a lot of blues, copy some chords and riffs, put your own feeling into it. Above all, unlock the blues in your heart and make the guitar talk.
John Mayer is a SISSY . Learn anything by JOAN JETT, and be happy.
SRV - Eric Johnson (Tribute song)
Texas Flood - Stevie Ray Vaughan
Tears in Heaven - Eric Clapton
Dream On - Aerosmith, not a blues band, but this I feel deserves a spot here, the song is quite bluesy.
What do you mean how do you play the blues??? Do you even know how to play guitar??? If you did, I don't think you would be asking a questions like this! NEXT!!!!
try something like "Red Light" by Jonny Lang.easy chords, and plenty of room to improvise-good luck!!!
