Most of Kate Nash's stuff is on a keyboard, so i imagine you can play them on piano..they're modern and funky
David Sides is pretty good (pianist). He tends to play recent R&B melodies and can be found on YouTube under the alias "Kemlye1." Perhaps you can get some inspiration from his playlist.
