How does blues make you guys feel?!
Question: I wanted to post this in P&S but I knew you guys would feel more for it. I mean any kind you guys like, southern, rock, memphis, chigaco blues... etc.
How does the blues make you feel?
For me, it get's me pumped. The groove is just there! I can't say anymore.. I really enjoy Elmore James and Howlin' Wolf.. just that vibe is just cool...

Huge fan of the Chicago blues. I like to put in on close my eyes and listen to the harmonica, guitar, and piano mesh as the singer tells his story of how he is broke, drunk, or mistreated by the female gender. It usually makes me feel better that their life sucks more than mine.

I take guitar and blues I play really get you into the mood....they get you into the swing...I enjoy them

i think it makes the moment romantic if its slow and if its fast it makes me feel jived up

Blues is the most original contemporary music. If white British bands didn't pick up on the American blues circuit, modern music would not be the way it is today. Blues has influenced every conceivable genre, from metal to rap... and has its own enormous subgenre, R&B. It's the music of the people and it sounds homey, it feels tangible almost... I think the best thing about the blues is that it doesn't try to impress you. The music just seems to pour out of the instruments. There's something very intimate about it, but it's not lacking in power.

It makes me want to play blues on the piano. Even though it's really hard. Haha.

Yeah - sounds crazy but the blues makes me feel good. Maybe it's because the song is usually about a guy who has more problems that I ever dreamed of... Speaking of Howlin Wolf - I used to see him all the time at a nightclub in Hawaii called the Dunes. He did a show every night before the regular band came on. He'd a have a coffin on the stage and all kinds of tricks - smoke and lights etc. Then he'd sing 'I cast a spell on you'. I was so young then I didn't realize who he really was and his history. This was 1966 - 67.

OMG!! It doesn't matter what kind of mood I'm in, I can always find a song to fit it....But it doesn't matter what mood I'm in, a screamin' guitar and a wailin' blues harp can always make me shake my moneymaker......
