Pink Floyd Fans!?!

Question: Whats your favorite Pink Floyd song and why?

Answers: Whats your favorite Pink Floyd song and why?

5. Learning To Fly. Used it in my "Higher Education" show for Armed Forces Radio. The subject was "Aviation 101".
4. Keep Talking. Musically, one of my favorites. Love the changes in speed and rhythm.
3. Breathe. Played it in a bar I was working in, in Rota, Spain as a DJ. My boss shut the bar down except for his closest friends, gave everyone left there free food and drinks and ordered that I play the whole Dark Side Of The Moon album straight through. Why? Seems he lost his virginity 30 years prior to an American woman who was playing that album, and until then Jose' had never known what music that was and was going to give up looking.
2. The Great Gig In The Sky. I initially found out about Pink Floyd when this song's "singing" opener became a 30-second commercial for a local Wyoming jewelry store and I had never heard of Pink Floyd before. Needless to say I was impressed and have been a Floyd fan since. By the way, I found out only in 2002 that the vocalist's name was Clare Torrey. I thought that was the best vocal ever, until I heard a live 1988 version done by Sam Brown, Durga McBroom and one other vocalist on tour with the band minus Roger Waters. 1. Hey You. An improbably strong song from the first album I ever bought, The Wall. 3,000 collected albums later, I would have to say that was an unbelievable experience for me - that is, until I saw The Wall done by superstars with Roger Waters at the dropping of the Berlin Wall, 1990. Check the vocal from Paul Carrack (Squeeze, Ace, Mike & the Mechanics fame) standing directly behind "the wall" singing to 250,000 people with Roger's tour band. Simply incredible.

"The wall" the extended version.

My favorite song is Young Lust.

I love High Hopes from Division Bell.. I love the kind of erie sound of the piano and bells at eh begining and end of the song..

I can't really pick 1 but I like
The Wall
Comfortably Numb
and Wish You Were Here
They are/were a talented band. Unforgettable.

Pigs (Three Different Ones)

I hate pink Floyd-they are not country

My favorite Pink Floyd song is 'Outside The Wall', believe it or not. I love it because it has the most uniquely sad melody I have ever heard, plus it seems to sum up what it must feel like to be dead, emotionally speaking. It has a very moving sense of finality.

This song wasn't my favorite (that used to be 'Nobody Home') until I heard the re-recorded version from the Wall movie, which in my opinion is infinitely better than the studio or live versions. I really wish they would release this version!

Whitehouse Blues. David Gilmore can pick the neck off a mandolin.
Also, Roger Waters does a mean Foggy Mountian Breakdown but never like Earl.
