Guitar problems?!


Question: I have a semi hollow body electric guitar. i love it but the one thing thats bugging me is the g string it has a twang to it but its just bad on the first three notes. like a flat a and a sharp. but when you play it with the d string it sounds terrible any body know how to fix it?

Sounds like it could be a problem with the nut slot for the g string. It could also just be a bad g string. Try replacing the string first and see what happens. If that doesn't work take it to a repairman and get a new nut put on. It's a cheap and easy repair. If the neck was warped it would probably affect more than just one string. The truss rod may need a little tweaking too. Still a cheap and easy job.

try restringing it.

Did you stretch the strings before putting them on? if no, do so..if yes..buy new strings...also check for a warped neck
