From what I've been hearing, they plan on going back to a "Master of Puppets' approach anyway...but having Lemmy at the producer helm would rock!
Lemmy would have them steady. Better yet, if Cliff Burton never got killed. I wonder if they would be considered "Thrash".
I think they are just fine except they need Newstead back. Hopefully the new album that's scheduled to be released in Feb will be better than some kind of monster and will bring them back to the states to tour.

i wish metallica was as good as they used to be.
they are my favorite band but only because of their old music. its the only music from them i listen to.
Lemmy is awsome as well. if he was their manager they would still be the best thrash band around.
