This is the problem with the word OREO for me....
As for this James T guy...you have to look at his track record. He does posts questions and comments with bad taste constantly. Like I said in my post...I tried...I really honestly attempted to not answer a post of his....but that one hit home for me...I apologize if I got his question kicked off...but just like he posted his opinion in a topic...I responded with mine...maybe it was a little over the top in your opinion and his opinion...but his question was over the top in mine. I just think if your gonna post a question like that....be respectful...dont say in i think its funny when one person gets ganged up on.....thats as bad as saying it yourself...if you laugh when you think of blacks being hung back in days of slavery...you are just as bad as those who did the hanging.

All the people I've seen at my skool think its funny. I never used the word nor any racist term so its really not my problem.

I kinda get what you mean. I am called an oreo because I'm black but don't act black. Just because I actually know how to pronounce words & not use ebonics when I speak, or know how to write properly. It's like, "gee maybe i paid attention in class." it's sad that people think that being a certain race means they have to act or talk a certain way. Whatever, I'm happy with who I am.

I wouldn't even call it racist. It's more of people (including blacks) stereotyping blacks as being a certain type of way. So they make fun of anyone who does not fit that "black" stereotype. Which is bullsh*t because African American is a race not a type of music, not a way of dressing, not a way of talking, and not a way of acting.
Most white people I know take it as a complement to be called an Uh Oh Oreo.
i dont know i guess people are really over protective when it comes to nationallity and racial slurs and they want to protect every1 from being hurt. which is STUPID if they were offended they would have done something.
Yes, Ive been called one too. I am black and another black calls me that just beca use I dont "act". I had a conversation and told them **** that. Some people dont understand....I had white people call me oreo because the only black people they seen are people on music videos
