Replacing Tuners and Pickgaurd on the new Gretsch Electromatic Hollowbody?!
Question: Hey everyone. Has anyone checked out this guitar? its amazing and a really good price for a Gretsch but it has this horrible clear pickguard and those old school tuners where the strings have to be cut perfectly and stuck inside. i hate that! ha. thanks in advance. matt.

After reading a number of reviews on the Electromatics, it seems a lot of people don't like the tuners or pickguard either. I'd check into some Gotoh, Grover or Sperzel tuners. For custom pickguards, just use Google to search:

I think both would be an improvement.
