On behalf of my mother, she used to listen to songs herself when they came on.
I let my kids listen to whatever they want to listen to...they are 10 and 13...I figure if i censor what they listen to, they will listen to it when i am not around and not trust me...heck, i even put their cd's on in the car for them when they are driving somewhere with me...cheers
All depends on what it is. I probably wouldn't let kids listen to "The Chronic" or "Straight Outta Compton," but I'd have no problem letting them listen to Common or Talib Kweli.
Yes I would...well because I was allowed to as long as they didnt have too much profanity...I pretty much control what she listens to as far as buying CD's...she lets me know what she likes...but as far as listening to older stuff it would be because im playing it...lol but it doesnt really interest her tho...She rather listen to that teen bop pop stuff or r&b music...Go figure being from two ppl that live hip hop.
yes i would and i do let my kids listen depending on the songs. mostly everything on the radio is cool but songs with alot of profanity or controversial situations i wouldn't let them listen to those ones.
