looks kind of a coincidence i have an indie rock /jazz/nu-metal project band n i thought this was strangest but then u come up with this question and..well it's funny, anyway it doesn't sound emo at all, we're influenced by strokes, emir kusturika, linkin park n even tdwp, but i don't quite understand ur question tho, cause im a spanish speaker, or because it's really strange anyway...
but emo bands trying to make this mixture, mmmmh, the idea seems to be possible! but i haven't precisely noticed it
