Just found my dads records 78's including sinatra in sleeves and blues Giant!

Question: Are they worth anything?

Answers: Are they worth anything?

If they're original issues on original labels, in good condition, they may fetch a fair price as collector's items.

If the music is available on other formats, they may not be too valuable.

Do an internet search to see what people are paying for them. Also, take them to your local used record store to get an appraisal.

sorry but 78's aren't very collectable anymore unless it is really rare.

I own about 3,000 78s

Love playing them on my wind up gramophone.
Very, very few 78s are worthy anything - you can buy them from around 15p each in charity shops but hey, you never know.

There are several websites where you can find out.
It's fun trying to find out.

Incidently - I have a set of 3 78's that are extremely rare - but they are only worth around £20 (for the 3) so don't get too excited.

As your first answer says,,some 78s can fetch thousands and some can be thrown away,,,however I believe (as a collector of 33s) that nothing should be thrown,,doeither some ebay searches or get the advice from a reputable dealer,,yellow pages or on line,,just type in something like "prices for 78s" or variations of that,,
If you had an original 1956 Sun records with the sunburst label of Elvis you are talking very serious money,,hope you have a lucky find,,

The blues would be worth more than the Sinatra
