Who played keyboards in The Police?!
Question: The Police never had a dedicated keyboards player, being a trio based on guitar, bass and drums only. Andy Summers, the group's lead guitarist, sometimes filled in on keyboards as and when required (he also played guitar synthesiser).
Sting played them on some recorded Police tracks, and extra musicians were brought in occasionally - Jean Roussel played the keyboard part on "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic", for example.
I'm fairly sure that Stewart Copeland is the only member of the group who did not record a part on keyboards on their releases.
