What is Avenged Sevenfold talking about in these lyrics?(Chapter Four)?!

Question: Far away in this land I must go
Out of the sight of the One
A punishment sent from his hand
A hardship no one should know
Now go out of the sight of the One
Away in this land you must go

Personally, I think theyre talking about God like his wrath(punishment) that no one should know(hardcore punishment for bad people?)

It's definitely a reference to God, in some ways it may be a reference to man being cast from the Garden of Eden in the book of Genesis. The band's name is a biblical reference, as are many of their song titles. The Beast and the Harlot for example, comes from the book of Revelation. Having said that, though, I'm pretty sure the band is very un-religious in their personal beliefs. They just kind of use it to write songs.
