Damien Rice, What Else Might I Like?!

Question: So You Think You Can Dance - Australia premiered last night, now while I think the show is pretty rubbish it's always good for exposing me to music that I haven't heard before. One of the dancers danced to Damien Rice - 9 Crimes. This is a GREAT song and I'd like to hear more music like it, can anyone suggest anything similar? Slow, considered ballads with a neat cello basslines are ideal candidates. Points go to the person who suggests where I can get more information about the genre and the type of music, not an individual track or such.

and for genre, on my ipod it says rock but i think he is somewhat folk.
