How soon before should I arrive to a concert?!

Question: It's General admission (Marilyn Manson, if that matters).

It starts at 7:30. I was planning on arrive at 7, but I think that might be kind of late, considering I'll need to check my coat.

Thoughts?

If it's general admission, you should go sooner than a half-hour. When do doors open? My advice to you would be to show up at least one hour before doors open in order to ensure some good seats.

I went to a Third Eye Blind concert general admission and we ended up in the front row because we arrived around 6:30, doors opened at 7:30 and show was at 8.

I would, at the least, get there an hour early, but if you want a good place to sit/stand, try getting there two to three hours early.

whenever you want to go

Depends on how important it is to you to get a certain spot, whether or not you already have tickets, and on how big the venue is.
If you don't already have tickets get there earlier. If it's a small club/ bar set up then get there earlier. If you want a prime spot get there earlier. About an hour or so.
If you're just going to hear the music and those things aren't impt, then half an hour is fine. That's when "normal fans" usually show up to wait. I'm sure Manson has some rabid fans who will be there hours early no matter what.
And this should be based on what time the doors open. Not what time the concert starts.
