It's still popular because people still feel the same way about their music taste. Your opinion hasn't changed from the beginning, and neither has my opinion (that it's good music).
It's for taking drugs and dancing, not sitting around listening to it.
I get sick of people complaining about techno when they haven't ever been out to a good dance club and seen how f'ing hot chicks look when dancing to it, with the lights, fog, and of course - drugs.
Cause it gives you a chance to cut loose and just go crazy

its a culture. ever hear of plur? and clubs only play house music or rap. there are many differant genre's of techno. dnb, hardcore, darkcore, house, trance, happy hardcore, jungle, ect. how about you try and listen to everything before you say its bad music, until then you have no right to complain about music you know nothing about. do your research
