Had more platinum albums, more TV and movie exposure, ***-kickin' concerts, and together with Willie Nelson, Waylon's wife Jessi Colter, and Tompall Glaser were the original "outlaws" who changed the very character of country music by pioneering the change of allowing the artists to control their music instead of the record labels.

I would definitly have to go with Merle Haggard. Hes so good on that guitar of his, and he seems like a great guy. Hes got an amazing voice, his music will live on forever.

I would have to go with Merle...I like Waylons stuff, but the sheer volume of Merle's work lets a person have a full night of music!
