soz but give me meatloaf any time

lmao compared to iggy pop or bobby gillespie or marc bolan theyre all useless!

except mick jagger hes alright

I would go with Mick Jagger as number one and Morrison as number two. The rest don't insprire me that much as front men. Steve Perry was very good as a front man. John Foggerty might also make the list.

Steven Tyler and Tom Petty would be on my list.

i'd just put them all in a line becuase thery're all legends

spooky, that's almost my list! dylan would be top though

jim morrisson. period.

Can I phone a friend on this one?

er, where's Freddie???

Where is Jimi Hendrix on your list? He should be first.

No Johnny Rotten? Probably THE best frontman ever.

none besides Bono from U2

1. Bowie
2. Morrison
3. Jagger
4. Lennon
5. Dylan
6. Cash
7. Daltry
8. Reed
9. Vedder
10. Davies
11. Marriot
12. Weller
13. Oberst

I think from your list, Bowie has to be number one. He has been influencing music for 5 decades now and is still making new good music unlike the Stones who haven't really made anything decent in awhile. Morrison gets a nod for his energy onstage, and the rest of the top 5 or 6 are all legends, so it's really hard to put them in any sort of an order.

Paul Weller (The Jam)
Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones)
Roger Daltry (The Who)
Jim Morrison (Doors)
Lou Reed (Velvet Underground)
Ray Davies (Kinks)
John Lennon
David Bowie
Bob Dylan
Steve Marriot (Small Faces)
Johnny Cash
Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)
Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes)

Jim Morrison,
Bob Dylan,
Eddie Vedder,
Art Mathews (Just JInger),
Shaun Morgan (Seether),
Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins)
Ed Roland (Collective Soul)
Max Cavalera (Sepultura)
Cat Stevens

In no particular order. They're all great musicians

Paul Weller (The Jam)
Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones)
Roger Daltry (The Who)
Steve Marriot (Small Faces)
Ray Davies (Kinks)
Lou Reed (Velvet Underground)
Jim Morrison (Doors)
John Lennon
Bob Dylan
Johnny Cash
David Bowie
Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam)
Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes)

From that list....it's

Mick Jagger..who has more attitude than Mick?

Daltry
Bowie
Morrison
Vedder
Davies

Lennon was a great musician/vocalist but not really a front man.

I can't honestly comment on Weller (I've heard some solo stuff but never heard the Jam perform..).

Ditto Bright Eyes, Kinks, VU, David Bowie and Small Faces.

Of the remainder, I'd say Jim Morrison is far and away the leader though Johnny Cash could really work a room and Jagger does pretty well with that as well. As much as I like Dylan and Lennon I don't see them as "riveting" concert performers.

Bob Dylan
Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones)
RoRay Davies (Kinks)
(The Who)
Johnny Cash
John Lennon
David Bowie
Jim Morrison (Doors)

Paul Weller (The Jam)
Steve Marriot (Small Faces)
Johnny Cash
Ray Davies (Kinks)

Bob Dylan
Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes)
John Lennon
David Bowie
