I always liked this song...and I guess in a sense, it's reminded me of what's important - that very little can or does last forever ("all that shimmers...is sure to fade") - and I guess by extension, to hold onto the people that are important to me now while I have them - the things that matter to me, before they too become "too far away from me to hold".

I've never really had one song that described my life... but Numb by Linkin Park is one song that I can really and truly relate to.......it's just a great song by a great band. I can also relate to alot of Evanescence songs, though I have a really hard time choosing the one I relate to the most by them.....

These songs usually make me feel better when I'm having one of those "I'm a Loser" days.
I've been searching so long by Chicago. I had been searching in my life to feel loved and significant and that summer when I was 13 I came face to face with God. I had a life changing, heart changing experience that has lasted over 30 years now. The words to the song and the melody are all about that search and finding the meaning. Everytime it comes on I stop and listen to it. It has an amazing horn section and guitar solo. It reminds me that God is Amazing and loves me and that I am a person worthy to be loved and matters even if the world doesn't treat me so wonderfully. It reminds me of that moment of pure love that covered me from head to toe, inside and out that made me feel whole, clean and filled with joy as I had never known it before.
It reminds me of the beginning of a new life many yrs ago that has lead me to greater things today.
What hurts the most by Rascall Flatts. My cousin? best friend was killed in Iraq and that song just reminds me of our whole situation
