Why is Miranda Lambert overlooked because of popstars like Underwood and Swift?!

I love Miranda Lambert! I think they look over her because shes not all prissy like the others! She real down to earth and herself. She goes hunting and hangs with the fellows. Shes not a girly girl. The media looks at the "hot" primped up celebrities and ignores the real ones. I love miranda lambert! Maybe she just doesnt want to be in the medias eye either. Maybe she just wants to be herself.
Probably because there songs are a bit more pop like and they are a little lighter and more fun.

First of all...AMEN!!!!! I love her!! I think people like the pop sounds of TS and Carrie, Miranda is more country/ country rock. Sadly pop country is more popular.Miranda's songs are more mature than Taylor's also. So I think Taylor relates more to the 13-14 age group. I am 23 and I think Miranda is great
I don't know why, but personally I just like the music the others sing better. Miranda is a bit too violent for me! But my husband loves her! But like you said, Carrie and Taylor are also considered pop stars...because they play their songs on pop stations. I'm sure if Miranda's songs were played on those ones, not only the country stations, she would be considered a pop star also. But she's all country right??
I totally agree. She is the real deal, but Carrie Underwood does have more exposure because of her American Idol days. As far as Taylor Swift goes....I don't see how anyone could consider her a better singer than Miranda.
Nothing againest Miranda lambert only heard a song or two but I do know that Carrie underwood has stayed true to what she loves from the very beginning of American Idol to now. she loves country and it shows.

i got to see Miranda in a concert before she was real big last summer, and it was amazing. she came on tour with Toby Keith, for my first concert, it was more then i would think....

I love the song small town or whatever its called...isnt she also the actress on heros???....she seems to be doing really well...and maybe she doesnt put out enought songs...like taylor swift and underwood but if you ask me I watch and interview with underwood and it changed my total oppionion of her...she is kinda selfish...i guess she worked for this guy and he called and asked her if he could have a ticket because they was sold out and she was like no way...he was mean to me..and that is awful...I mean you cant be normal and have normal feelings when your a celeb..thats what makes you so like awsome...you have to be a really good person in public.....and even if she did that... she shouldnt have came on a said that ...it is one thing to do what she did but it is quite another to make what you did public.
I personally think its because she is not a crossover like Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift. To me Miranda Lambert is reminicent of the old greats like Tammy Wynette. Miranda Lambert is true country music.

I like Taylor Swift. Peronsally, i like Miranda's songs but not her attitude. I used to, then i saw her win an award and well, she didn't seem to honored to get her first award. Same with Carrie Underwood. Yes, when Taylor got her award she was crying with joy and thanking everyone. miranda's also a rebel. young kids don't relate to burning a house down with kerosene (I hope) Like they relate to a guy who likes anohter girl (teardrops on my guitar)
Also, Miranda doesn't go out in places, like public or parties.
She needs to promote herself more.

I agree with you a hundred percent. I think Carrie Underwood doesn't really have the 'country' voice she should go with pop music and stay there. As for Taylor Swift I think she's...okay but Miranda Lambert beats them by a landslide.
Let me start by saying that I think all three ladies are incredible. Miranda is most definitely my favourite of the three though. She's just so real.
Taylor Swift sings about adolescence though, of course she's going to sell like mad and get more attention even though people out of highschool tend to not buy into it. The fact that she's only what? 17-18? It shouldn't have an effect but of course it's going to help her get more attention.
As far as Carrie Underwood goes, the american idol factor is huge. She had millions watching her before she even came out with a record. Miranda Lambert was on Nashville Star but compared to Idol, that's nothing. Carrie didn't even need to build a fan base, when she dropped her first album, the millions of idol faithful flocked like sheep.
Longevity in the music business is one of the best measures of success. Time will tell if Miranda will finally get the credit she deserves. Frankly, I can't understand it. Her songs are so unique, so well written, just because she doesn't cry at award shows shouldn't mean she should be overlooked.
Miranda is a pure country singer and no one is better. It sucks that these popstar wannabes are in country and people are dumb enough to except them.
