What does "select spruce" top mean on acoustic guitar?!

it means a better quality of spruce.......not veneer or laminated unless specified :-)
In this case unless it further tells you how the guitar is made, select is like steak, it means nothing more than they are trying to get you to believe that they use a better quality of spruce ( whether it is laminate or not can't be told by this) than their competitors
What kind of guitar is it??, if I and the other answerer knew we would be able to tell you EXACTLY what the deal is with the guitar.
spruce is a type of wood used a lot in the makeing of the face or top of the guitar.laminate is a term used when the top is just a thin layer of wood glued to the top found on less expensive guitars.a solid top means the top of the guitar is actualy carved from solid wood.solid will give more tone and volume as it will resinate more than a laminated top.
