Bass guitar tabs reading questions?!
Question: When I look at the tabs for a certain song, I see
0--4h5
What do you do for that h?
Also, what about the dashes, for example:
-9-9/1-111-
??????

in 0--4h5 the 4-5 bit means after you have played the note on the 4th fret you hammer on at the 5th.
Hammer on is when you play the note using your fretting hand whilst holding the note before the h.
the 9/1 bit means slide so after you have played the note at the 9th fret you slide your finger along the string to the 1st fret.
