How hard is it to play a 12-string guitar?!

Way easy. Plays just like a six-string, but with amazing sounds.
Imagine twice the amount of strings on a normal guitar.
Ih you have mastered the basics of guitar playing, you will enjoy the 12 string.
Playing them is simple - tuning them can be a pain in the butt though.
I suck at guitar. I mean I can play a few tunes and what not, but mostly I suck. However, everything I can play on a regular ol' acoustic I can play on a 12-string.
I don't know if it's harder if you're playing mor challenging stuff, but it's not all that different from a regular 6-string, cept maybe you find it necessary to push down harder on the strings?

There are Two Strings really close together that are pressed down by one finger, so it's exactly like playing a 6-string but the chords are more full.

If it's acoustic, there is a lot more finger pressure needed to keep fret buzz to a minimum. Having said that, there's actually a lot more needed on elec. 12s too. The Rickenbackers have a very slim neck (they use the same neck for six and twelve or something very close) most 12 strings use a wider neck. I always tune my twelves down a note (tune to an open D), this makes the guitar play easier.
Technically it's not really any different for all practical purposes. You do have to go for the space between the double strings instead of on top of the single string like on a six, but that's no big deal. You also have to pay a little more attention to how you are striking, plucking, or whatever the heck is is you do to them poor strings. Up strokes/plucks sound a little different than downstrokes/plucks. The extra course of strings is normally tuned an octave above the normal tuning (other six tuned normally). I love 'em!
I own 2 & I have no trouble. In fact, some say it feels easier b/c the surface of your finger presses down on a more "even" space as opposed to just one.
