My favorite Band is The Beatles.. I will assume you have never heard of them before and just tell you to listen from beginning to end of any Album they have ever made.. In my opinion, they were just that good...

Alright, I'm gonna go with Elliott Smith, even though that's not a band.
I'll give you a link to him playing live- the footage is from several years ago because he died in 2003, but he has 7 albums out.
My absolute favorite stuff of his is on From a Basement on a Hill- which he was in the process of recording when he died- but this song is from Figure 8, which is an amazing album.

The first band, TDWP, is Metalcore. Plenty of screaming, yet beautiful vocals. The lyrics are also beautiful.
The second, Weatherbox, is more Art Rock. The band is atheist, but the music is brilliant.
The last band, Say Anything, is Indie Rock. They too have amazing lyrics, and I love the vocals.
