What is so good about Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco?!

The main reason they are good is because they are true to hip hop. They dont fall into the commercial bs of making stupid music to just make money. They actually make music, not Soulja boy crap.

i think as well as being about rapping not just money that they actually rap about stuff, i don't know about Lupe but Kanye West raps about a lot of modern day issues except many people don't see through to the lyrics to realise that...
It's their opinion. I personally think they're good rappers but I wouldn't put them in my top 10 rappers list if I made one.

Right now, there are only a handful 'rappers' that have 'mainstream' recognition, that are creative and lyrically diverse.... Kanye & Lupe are 2 of them, so they are easy to 'stand-out' from the rest of pack.

Hey, Kanye West is different to other rappers as he brings new style. Such as flashing lights and stronger. These are so different to the Eminem, 50 Cent sort of stuff. And I aint sure about Lupe Fiasco cos I haven't really heard loads of his music.
Kanye West's songz have come I guess a long way since his mother died and the songs have something that some people can relate 2. And as 4 Lupe Fiasco he is sorta like Kanye but not as good. Have u ever tried 2 relate 2 their songs or n-e thing?

they're the most unique rappers in the industry right now and they have appealed to people because everyone knows deep inside they crave REAL hip-hop rather than this uniform style of rapping. I think kanye, lupe, and common are the only rappers who were able to reach those listeners who didn't know they were searching for something more, but appreciate the good music.
