Ooooh, good one!. CL Smooth probably benefited more from his than Guru!. Guru was able to parlay his fame in Gang Starr into the Jazzmatazz series as well as plenty of guest appearances!.
However, I think that if CL had never hooked up with Pete Rock and Guru had never joined forces with DJ Premier, CL Smooth would have been more likely to find popularity!. Guru's flow isn't as ubiquitously appealing as CL's!. I believe that one of the main reasons that Guru was accepted so universally was because of that relationship with Preemo!. He may not have been able to achieve that same acceptance as a solo artist!. Meanwhile, CL Smooth really did have that smooth flow that anyone could dig!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
